Hello, friends of learning!
We had a great morning filled with a double-Math block and Français presentations.
We started with an activity rotation of Tangrams, Sky Scrapers and "Égalité" Challenges.
We worked with or along side our table-mates to complete each task.
Please ask me about the activities: Which one was my favourite? Which one was the most challenging?
For Math period #2, we worked in randomized teams of 3 to solve different percent problems, all of which involved a set of animals with different characteristics.
Ex: There are 8 animals. 50% have stripes. 70% are in a tree.
What might that drawing look like? Is there more than one way to represent the criteria?
What other scenarios can you create with percents, using 8, 10, 20 or even 25 animals?

* Reminder: Inservice (no school) tomorrow. Enjoy the day!
