Hello! Happy Thursday!
Today in Math we set out to determine 'which one doesn't belong?'
Let's try one together:
Let's consider each number in the square above. Can you make a case for why each number might not belong?
17: It is the only prime number and the only number smaller than 25.
26: It is the only number with the digit 2.
44: It is the only number with repeated digits and the only number that has a factor of 11.
65: It is the only multiple of 5 and it's the only one where the sum of the digits isn't 8.
What else did you notice? What other reason would a number not belong?
Please ask me about what photos my group had. What did we notice quickly? What took some thinking? Did I work with numbers or pictures? Was one set easier than the other?

AGENDA
(The musical note indicates the book will be read aloud.)
2. CFOO - Finale! Our last CFOO presentations will take place Monday, June 26. Students may choose any of the 15 categories for their speech and may repeat a category they have already done, but may not repeat the exact same speech.
Assignment outline is posted in Teams.
3. Final locker clean out will be Monday morning period 1. Students are encouraged to start bring home extra supplies now so that they are not overwhelmed with stuff next week. Sending an extra bag to school on Monday is also encouraged.
Students will hand in their locks on Wednesday. They are still welcome to store their things in their (unlocked) locker on Thursday, or may keep their things in our room.
4. As noted in the email sent home from the office earlier this week: our final assembly will be Wednesday morning and our last day of classes is Thursday. Report cards will be emailed home end of day Thursday.
