The Fourth Day of Middle School!

Hello, friends of learning! Happy Wednesday!

We started our morning with another great book, If You Ever Want to Bring an Alligator to School, Don't! We all had a good laugh at the story line and the expressions on the characters' faces!

Next up, another getting-to-know-you activity... but this time with food! Yum! (Please ask me what I shared with my classmates! Did I have anything in common with the other members of my group?)

We then worked through one of our first Math routines of the year: Esti-mystères! Using a photo as well as a set of clues, we try to determine how many objects are in the container. This will help us review and learn new Math vocab that we will use throughout the year. (Some of the words that came up today were: pair, impair, multiple, chiffre and the symbols < (plus petit que) and > (plus grand que).)

After our locker break, in Français, we played a French game together as a class. It is a Who Am I/ Guess Who format that uses a game board and a set of clues to help figure out who the mystery person is. Today, the version of the game was Pirates! And, Mme Careen made us say our answers in a pirate accent, just for fun. 😁

We ended the morning watching our first "Vraiment Top" video of the year, which we'll explain on the blog in more detail tomorrow. In the mean time, please ask me what the video was about and what my favourite organization 'hack' was!

Have a great afternoon, everyone! :)
