It's Friday! (And the Sixth Day of Middle School!)

Hello, friends of learning!

Friday morning has come and gone, and we are ready for the weekend! (A full week of school is no joke! Phew!)

Before signing off, let's take a quick look at what we were up to on this, the sixth day of middle school!

*

We started our day with a story, of course! A Perfectly Messed Up Story is a great reminder that sometimes (often!) things do not go as planned, but that is ok! Everything will be fine!

In Math, Mme introduced us to "Les gratte-ciels" (Skyscrapers) which we worked on in randomized groups of 3. Please ask me about the rules of the game and how my group did!

After a short writing task in Français (with a weekend follow-up activity that is posted below in the Agenda section), we tackled our first team challenge of the year!

Working in randomized teams of 3, we were tasked with building the tallest, free-standing spaghetti structure possible (with a marshmallow on top!), and we only had 20 pieces of dry spaghetti, 1 meter of tape and 16 minutes to do so!

We all had different approaches and varying degrees of success, but in the end, we were still all smiles
as we closed out our first full week together as a team!

And, a big Bravo! to our winners - Team RMK - who had the tallest structure with a height of 49 cm!

Thanks for a great week, everyone! :)
